NEST

Last week I stopped by one of my favorite interior shops here in Oslo. Located on the west side of the city, right around the corner from where I live, you find the most adorable interior shop, NEST. As you can see from the images above it is a colorful shop with carefully selected kitchenware, stationary and lovely quality kids toys and party accessories. It is by far the best gift shop in town, and they also carry a large range of the cutest postcards and posters. On top of this, they sell the sweetest, freshly baked cupcakes from HANCOCK. Yummy!

Their range of products are also available ONLINE (currently only shipping in Norway). You can follow NEST on INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK and their BLOG, and I highly recommend stopping by this wonderful shop next time you are in Oslo! You find their location and opening hours HERE.

  1. Such a lovely selection of products. I'm visiting Oslo for the first time in June so I will have to leave room in my suitcase for a few purchases!

    3. This is a great site to check out for your Oslo visit: http://www.visitoslo.com/en/

I would definitely recommend visiting Vigelandsparken outdoor sculpture park (8 min walk from Nest), The Opera and Bjørvika area for modern architecture, Tjuvholmen for art museums and a sea view with a breeze and have dinner one evening at Klosteret for a tasty Norwegian in-season dinner.

For interior design shops you should check out House of Oslo (in Vika), Milla Boutique (on Aker Brygge), Hay House (in Hegdehaugsveien) and Cornelias hus (in Paleet), Eske Interior (on Bislett) and Bolina (on Stabekk, -a bus ride outside of Oslo).

If you want to go out of town for a day trip, I highly recommend a small town visit to Drøbak in the summertime. It is only a 45 min bus ride from Oslo. This is where I like to spend my slow summer days...
